Dramatica in Schools

From £130 - half day

     £230 -  full day

Dramatica has a wide range of drama and music workshops and ideas for students in both primary and secondary schools, including QCA specific workshops as well as at GCSE, AS and A2 level.

Primary Schools
Workshops at primary level are designed to complement the QCA schemes of work, and are tailor written for each subject, including History, Geography and Citizenship. For schools who have opted out of the QCA syllabus, we are able to liaise with your school and create a bespoke workshop specific to the needs of the particular class or classes.

Workshops can be booked on a single, half day (up to 3), full day (up to 5) or residency (throughout the term) basis. They may be used either as an introduction or summary of the subject. (Please stipulate when booking.)

Each workshop includes:

  • An original, exciting and relevant overall look at the specific subject matter
  • A practical musical and dramatic approach to the subject
  • Props and accessories for each child
  • A follow up worksheet for further activities relating to the workshop

Secondary Schools
These are designed to bring drama and performance skills to the forefront, and can be used in conjunction with a text or play currently being studied, or can be skills based.
At KS3 and KS4, these workshops become more specific and focus on practitioners (Brecht, Stanislavsky, Artaud) as well as Performance Skills, Play Appreciation and ideas for devising. These workshops are suitable for the EdEXCL and AQA syllabi.

The workshops are designed to:

  • Focus on the practical demands of the exam work
  • Look at specific performance and presentation skills
  • Put each practitioner within an historic time and dramatic context
  • Stimulate students’ imaginations
